FAQ

What does this tool calculate?

The statistics for your birthday week (your date ±3 days) across the full MIDAS historical series for your county: rainy days, warm days and average temperatures. This is not a forecast — it is what really happened over 150+ years.

Where does the data come from?

From the official Met Office MIDAS daily series, since 1873 — summed over all stations in your county.

Why the week and not just the day?

Because celebrations often move to the nearest weekend, and a 7-day window over 150 years gives a much more robust statistic than a single calendar day.
